Our commitment to our clients is foremost

Challenge Trust is an incorporated charitable trust that has provided mental health services for the past 17 years. Challenge Trust began as a single residential service in 1993 and has experienced considerable growth during this period. Challenge Trust currently employs 228 people and provides a large range of residential, mobile and community services across the Northland, Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions to upwards of 1500 clients and their families, living in their own homes and communities. Challenge Trust is a mainstream Non Government Organisation and operates over 20 residential homes providing dedicated services to many people. These homes provide services to clients experiencing issues with high and complex mental health issues, dual disability, dual diagnosis, drug and alcohol addictions, intellectual and physical disability.

Challenge Trust also provides a large range of mobile and community services to clients and their families, from Packages of Care, Community Support Work, Community Living Services, Mobile Community Support, Family/Whanau services, Activity and day programmes, Older Adult and Child and Youth services. As an organisation Challenge Trust provide a full continuum of service provision and is capable of delivery at multiple levels.

Challenge Trust is one of the few NGOs providing services to Level 4 clients with high levels of acuity, needing intensive supports and monitoring, and has developed a solid reputation for dealing with high needs clients.

Challenge Trust also upon request mentors other NGO organisations and provides training and support programmes to clients and their families who live within the community. By sector standards, Challenge Trust is a large organisation. It is one of the largest within the greater Auckland region.
