Our commitment to our clients is foremost
Challenge Trust provides two levels of Intensive Support Rehabilitation Service (ISR), namely:
ISR-Clinical
The highest intensity of residential support with a recovery focus. To deliver this service, Challenge Trust employs skilled and well trained staff to provide its intense and therapeutic six-point Paths to Recovery model.
In adopting a holistic approach, and having realistic expectations of the clients themselves, this drives best practice throughout the organisation. Support staff deliver well-planned support programmes which influence therapeutic outcomes for the clients they serve. Support plans focus on goal attainment and recovery, where no task is too big or too small, no behaviour is too hard. Challenge Trust’s staff participation is in-depth and goal-driven. Milestones are celebrated.
ISR-Forensic ‘Step-Down’
This is the same level of service intensity as ISR. There is however, a close relationship with the Mason Clinic from whom referrals are received, and there is a level of forensic involvement.
Challenge Trust ISR Services provide 24/7 support with the focus being on recovery. The level of complexity of needs is likely to be high, requiring close liaison with multiple agencies.
The services work at many levels including community restorative and reparation approaches. Often the Ministry of Justice is involved with the clients. The Challenge Trust service team works to re-engage people back into the community, providing the right opportunities and supports to ensure that their mental health needs are met. This is achieved through clinical management and access to a combination of support activities including employment, education options, physical activity and socialisation activities.
