What makes us different? We believe there are five fundamental Points of Difference that make us unique as a non-profit charitable organisation, involved with delivering services and providing recovery outcomes, for those in need of mental health services..
1. The quality of our people in terms of passion, commitment, attitude and skill levels
Challenge employs a rigorous selection process for people wanting to join the organisation. People are selected based on their qualifications and their capacity to care for and support people through the recovery journey. Challenge Trust staff also undergo a 63-day core training programme.
2. The holistic model of recovery and support practices across the organisation
The Challenge Recovery model was developed by clients for clients. It deals with all aspects of a person’s life, so that the resulting individual recovery and rehabilitation plan addresses the whole person including physical health, environmental health, economic health, clinical health and spiritual and cultural health.
3. The wide range of services that provide clients with a one-stop shop for all their needs
Clients have identified that they want all their needs to be addressed in a ‘hassle free’ way, and not have to repeat their story to different people in different places to get the services they require. Challenge has developed a ‘one stop shop’ approach to meet these requirements and Challenge’s diverse range of services including advocacy, training, employment, housing, cultural supports, family inclusion and other health programmes to meet the needs of our clients.
4. I Innovative, quality, individually tailored solutions
One of the mantras at Challenge is individual solutions designed for individuals. Each recovery and support plan is specifically tailored to the individual, ensuring that the particular needs of that individual are developed to suit that person.
5. Superior outcomes for our clients, their families and their communities
Challenge is committed to working with clients and their families to identify individual outcomes and then achieve these outcomes. In adopting ‘best practice’ and outcome measurement tools staff and the stakeholders are able to track client progress. Challenge benchmarks its performance against worldwide standards and it is proud of the outstanding results it achieves.
