Our Goals

Challenge Trust is operating in a dynamic environment of growing need, reduced funding and greater compliance. In pursuit of its commitment to innovation, excellence and quality, Challenge Trust has re-examined its strategic direction and the organisational goals.

Goal 1:
To become the provider of choice for funders of mental and physical health related services.

Challenge Trust is rapidly becoming a provider of choice for funders and planners of mental and physical health related services. It has done this by differentiating its services in terms of cost, innovation, quality and effectiveness. The organisation constantly reviews current methods of service delivery, and includes customer and client feedback to ensure that the services and supports are as effective and efficient as they can be. Challenge Trust engages with stakeholders, identifying their needs and then meeting them.

Goal 2:
To achieve the sustainability of the organisation by growing the volume and variety of services provided.

Challenge Trust is operating in an environment of increasing demand and reduced funding, matched by its passion to provide innovative, quality, individualised solutions. Challenge Trust is actively growing and diversifying its services to capitalise on economies of scale to achieve its objectives. It is currently one of the largest and most diverse NGO providers of mental and physical health in the country. While other non-Government organisations are struggling with sustainability issues, Challenge continues to grow its volume and variety of services. Its growth is predicated on its superior service and its superior outcomes.

Goal 3:
To achieve real improvement in the well-being of our clients and their families.

There is a total commitment to ensuring that clients and their families achieve their full potential. Clients are clear on what they want and how they want it delivered. Challenge Trust has listened and provides a “one-stop shop” where services are tailored to individual needs. Services available for our clients and their families include: housing, employment, education, training, information provision, support and advocacy. Services are driven by clients for clients. They are delivered in a culturally sensitive manner. There is an ethos of constantly looking for a better way to deliver services. Outcome measurement tools are employed to track and benchmark progress to ensure superior outcomes for our clients. We provide the same level of service we would expect for a member of our family.

Goal 4:
To ensure that the organisation infrastructure meets the current and future needs of the Organisation.

Challenge Trust regularly reviews existing systems, processes, policies and procedures to ensure that they are up to date, relevant and appropriate and support the strategic direction of the organisation. Challenge Trust seeks to work in the smartest way by implementing state of the art technology, and building capacity and capability to support the growing needs of a progressively expanding organisation.

Goal 5:
To enhance the competence and skills of our staff.

Challenge Trust believes that good people are our greatest resource. Great outcomes are achieved from the support of great people. Challenge Trust has extensive human resources policies, processes and procedures to ensure that staff are well qualified, trained, supervised and mentored, that they are fairly and competitively remunerated, that they are provided with opportunities for further training and advancement, and that positive outcomes are to be celebrated and rewarded. By creating a culture of loyalty, accountability and continuous improvement, the organisation has positioned itself as an employer of choice for prospective employees.
